Coming out of Antwerp Central Station, heading the city center forwards and passing De Keyserlei, you will meet the Meir. It is the main shopping street in Antwerp and is considered one of the most famous shopping area in Belgium. Shoppers from all around the country and the neighboring countries come here to shop.
It features a pedestrian zone so that everyone can enjoy more pleasant shopping experience. You will find more than 200 stores, offering anything you could imagine to buy. Apart from the numerous stores, the Meir has also many interesting sculptures like the famous Hand statue, and impressive architectural buildings like The Palace on the Meir, The Rubens House and the well-known Stadsfeestzaal.
Orient your way around the surrounding streets, where you will find exclusive high-end stores like Chanel, Hermes, Louis Vuitton, Delvaux and many more. Walking till the end of the Meir, you will see the famous hand statue, and further on you will reach the historical center of the city.
